2003 was the first time I had ever heard of “buying real estate subject-to.” This was after being an investor for over 10 years.

I heard someone mention it as a concept and I was hooked on the idea! I did some research and found 2 people who were teaching it with recommendations that I trusted. One of them was William Tingle.

I bought William’s “course” which was basically a notebook (at the time) and it was less than $250. I was BLOWN AWAY by how thorough it was and by how he left NO STONE UNTURNED. It was very unusual since, at the time, most courses were costing $3500 + and left a lot of holes in the education so they could sell you coaching. Finding Motivated Sellers One of my favorite things to do is to help out new investors or people wanting to become an investor. I go onto forum’s and to meetings regularly to answer questions and give guidance wherever I can. I just feel like it’s my way of giving back.
